Friends,
No one is brave unless they have fear, but fear can be debilitating, or useful when we need to react faster in dangerous situations. Although we may want to search for an external someone or something to give us strength when we need strength in the form of a higher power. This can be comforting, but is it useful? or is it a hindrance to our perception of reality?
Let’s look at the usefulness of looking for strength from an external higher power. When we look to a higher power for our strength we can be strong, but when this power is dogmatised, and classified it becomes a belief, all to answer where did we get the strength from when such and such happened. When that happens we no longer have the belief we can do things without this powers help, so if we lose our faith in this being we created, we lose our ability to cope as we could before our belief formed. So can it be said to be useful?! as it can and in the majority of cases does distort our view of our abilities, of our strengths weaknesses, and our mind.
With the diminished ability to trust our own abilities we lose our trust in ourselves and when that happens progress stops, or goes at a snails pace, as is shown in history when the church controlled information until the tide of knowledge got too strong.
We don't need a higher power, or a prophet to show us the way and give us strength what we need is to trust in ourselves to be able to find the truth and have the strength, and this will give our life meaning.
When we let fear control us we have no control, but when we look at what is causing us fear, the fear loses its hold, and we become stronger.
At the end of the day I may be right, I may be wrong, but I share this hoping I am one or the other.
