Bhāra Sutta Gāthā - Verses on the Burden - SN22.22 (excerpt)

The five aggregates are indeed a burden, and its burden carrier is the common person.
The burden when taken up brings stress to the world. Bliss is the casting off of this burden.
Having cast off the heavy burden and not taking up another,
pulling up craving, and its root, one is free from hunger, totally unbound.
