Abbhācikkhanti Sutta – Discourse On Defamation – AN2.22

5/2/2014

“Mendicants, these two [types of persons] defame the Tathāgata.
(The mendicants asked) What are the two [types of persons]?
(The Lord Buddha responded) The malicious, or the inwardly angry, and the one with (blind) faith or the one who holds things incorrectly.
Mendicants, these two [types of persons] defame the Tathāgata.”

    About

All translations here are from Pali to English by Cittasanto, done for personal reflection and understanding, not as expert translations.
Please read translations by other translators who are far more skilled in the Pali language such as Thanissaro Bhikkhu (Ajahn Geoff) or Ven. Bhikkhu Bhodhi.
Please check the calendar for upcoming translation posts.

    Current Projects

    The Dhammapada -
I started this project a little while ago, although it was mainly Gathas used in chanting, or for Calligraphy Projects.

Apart from these I have finished the first 15 chapters. Updates with translations being done both in general and specific projects will be shared on the calendar.
