Notice

I have decided to adopt a different layout for posts in this section into a more wiki type format using the template from Your Skillful Means. My aim in this endeavor is to improve the information about, and the underlying philosophical grounding for each practice. Current instructions will be updated in time, hopefully within the next few weeks.

About

This page includes writings & video specific to meditative instructions by Cittasanto or other useful instructions by meditation teachers.

This section came about due to being asking for advise on meditation and the problems met with trying to explain teachers (who are from various traditions) methods. As I had been encouraged by a couple of friends to share what I have learnt and it became obvious that a more personal rendering of the practices I use, or have used in the past, would be more useful in helping and explaining specific aspects or problems people met, I started writing guides so that questions could be relevant to the instructions.

Please check the calendar for upcoming posts to the site.

Content

The Content here is posted weekly on Saturdays, and although they are in a specific order for progressing in each section, due to an error they have not been posted in this order. However, inspiration will also affect what is posted at times.

I am using the Mahasatipaṭṭhāna Sutta - The Great Discourse on the Ways to Reference the Foundations of Mindfulness - DN22 - as a guide for the order although some sections have been moved to "other meditative techniques" for various reasons.
