Unexpected freedom is a collection of talks given by Ajahn Munindo on some related topics, each chapter is full of small details and well represents Ajahns teaching style in his talks, a questioning style which doesn't assume correctness, either of the traditional view, or of his personal take on things.
I first decided to read this book when I was going to the Katina (robe offering ceramony) at Aruna Ratungari, Harnham, the home of Ajahn Munindo, as it seamed like an appropriate time to pay respect to him and ask questions of the teacher himself of anything he taught. although there had been resistance to reading his books, or listening to his talks, due to an appearance of some flowery, all is love, sort of book, and those who recommended it were more inclined to this sort of philosophy, I bit the Bullet, and was pleasantly surprised.
Ajahn isn't afraid to mix traditions, using prayer, and talking about his own struggles with finding harmony in who he is, and what he does looking for how this relates to what the Buddha taught, Freedom, even if it is in unexpected places.
Well worth the download, although available from related Monasteries and groups, and read.
