[1] Whatever beings have come together here, whether of the earth or elsewhere, may the minds of all those beings be happy, and may they listen carefully to what is said.
[2] Therefore, you should all be attentive and friendly towards this generation of men, as those who bring offerings by day and by night, being heedful, should be protected.
[3]Whatever riches there are - here or hereafter or in the heavens - that preciousness is not equal to the Authentic One – this supremely precious thing is in the Buddha: Through this truth may there be well-being!
[4] (Craving's) end, dis-passion, deathlessness, excellence - that which the concentrated Sakyan sage attained - there is nothing that is equal to that state - this supremely precious thing is in the Dhamma: Through this truth may there be well-being!
[5] That concentration said to have immediate (result), which the Buddha praised as pure no equal to that concentration can be found - this supremely precious thing is in the Dhamma Through this truth may there be well-being!
[6] Those eight individuals praised by the wise - they are the four pairs of disciples – those disciples of the Fortunate One are worthy of gifts, where things that have been offered to them bear great fruit - this supremely precious thing is in the Saṅgha: Through this truth may there be well-being!
[7] Those who have firm minds that are devoted to Gotama's teaching, being without craving - having attained and entered the deathless - are enjoying emancipation, freely obtained - this supremely precious thing is in the Saṅgha: Through this truth may there be well-being!
[8] Just as a locking post stuck fast in the earth does not waver on account of the four winds, I say, just like this is the person who is true, the one who sees the noble truths completely - this supremely precious thing is in the Saṅgha: Through this truth may there be well-being!
[9] Those who clearly distinguish the noble truths, which have been thoroughly declared by the one of great discernment no matter how heedless they become, still there is no eighth birth - this supremely precious thing is in the Saṅgha: Through this truth may there be well-being!
[10] With his attainment of true insight there is the relinquishing of three things: self view, doubt, and attachment to rules and rituals. they are free from being reborn within the four lower worlds, and are incapable of the six great crimes - this supremely precious thing is in the Saṅgha: Through this truth may there be well-being!
[11] Whatever bad actions are performed by way of body, speech, or mind, they are not able of covering it up: this inability is known of one who has seen the state (of peace) - this supremely precious thing is in the Saṅgha: Through this truth may there be well-being!
[12] Just like a tall woodland tree crowned with flowers in the summer months, in the early summer, just like this they preached the Dhamma which is supreme, leading to Nibbāna, the highest benefit - this supremely precious thing is in the Buddha: Through this truth may there be well-being!
[13] The one who is best, knowing the best, giving the best, brought the best, the unsurpassed one preached the supreme Dhamma - this supremely precious thing is in the Buddha: Through this truth may there be well-being!
[14] The old is destroyed, and nothing new is produced, their minds are dis-passionate toward future rebirth, they have destroyed the seeds, and have no desire for new crop, the wise are still, just like a lamp is still - this supremely precious thing is in the Saṅgha: Through this truth may there be well-being!
